You Can Wear Messi's Shoes But Robben Can't

Real Madrid's Arjen Robben settled a recent debate as to who is better, himself or Lionel Messi, by admitting that

"Messi is the best in the world, he does things that only he can do".

  1. I once saw a player that did some moves that not even he could repeat. His name was Ronaldinho. As for Messi, he does things Maradona used to do.

  2. You're so right. How quickly we seem to have forgotten the great magic of Ronaldinho. Was he so great that his flame of desire was burnt out? He moves around the pitch like a ghost now.

And you are correct about Messi too. As great as he is, during his short time in the game he can only say that he has followed the map of Maradona. It would take some doing for him to surpass the ledendary Diego. It could happen. Anything can happen. But perhaps Messi will only be the best player in the world this year and maybe the next and never be the best player ever - like Diego or maybe Pele.
