How Can Forbes.com Call Zidane Unproductive When He Scored Championship Winning Goals Like This?:

"The highest transfer fee ever paid through last month was $81 million (in current dollars) for Zinédine Zidane by Real Madrid in 2002. In total, after collecting $41 million in salary over five seasons, Zidane cost the club $121 million. In return, the French midfielder, a three-time World Player of the Year during his career, scored in 24% and tallied an assist in 20% of Real's league contests over five seasons, making him one of the least productive players among those with the highest transfer fees. By our measure Zizou was hardly a bargain, with each goal-making play he was involved in costing Real $1.2 million." (Source)
