Robinho says Messi is better than Ronaldo this year

While targeting best player in the world status for himself someday, Man City star, Robinho says that Messi currently leads the pack, just ahead of Ronaldo:

'One day I would like to be the No1 as well, the best player in the world. That is my aim while I am at Manchester City. I would love to do it. Before then, I have a chance to win the Golden Boot. Unfortunately, the team has not managed to win trophies this season, but I am looking for this award as the top scorer. Ronaldo has 17 goals at the moment, I have 14 goals, so I will fight until the end.

'I know all about Ronaldo, of course. I think he deserved to be chosen as the best player in the world last season, although I am not sure if he will get the title this year because [Lionel] Messi is playing very well.' (Source)
